PJPeninsula Journal
About

A local staff of seventy dedicated to news and print production

Founded in 1978, the Peninsula Journal has grown from a small weekly paper into a regional news and printing operation based in Traverse City. Our seventy-person team includes reporters, ad representatives, and press operators who work together to keep our community informed and local businesses supplied with high-quality print materials.

We balance two core functions under one roof. Every week, our journalists file copy on regional government and school board meetings, while our commercial printing crew runs job orders for local businesses. This dual focus allows us to maintain a deep connection to the county we serve.

How we work

Clear local coverage

We focus on local news, municipal government, and school sports that matter to the residents of our county.

Practical print solutions

From layouts to proofing, we help local businesses produce clear, reliable print materials on budget.

Long-term community focus

Having served the area since 1978, we value steady, honest relationships with our subscribers and commercial clients.
